There might be various reasons why your company would want an independent assessment of the way Lotus Notes Pinnacle has been implemented and is being used to manage your Domino environment. You may not believe you're getting the best return on your investment in Lotus Notes. You might want to have a second opinion other than the vendor's view, or you are simply lacking the skills or resources to do the job.
